The Gipsy Trail Club – Community Lodge Clubhouse/Restaurant

01overview

Gipsy Trail Club is a rural oasis featuring over 1,000 acres of pristine woodlands, streams, ponds and lakes. With state and county preserves surrounding Club property, the natural landscape extends in several directions for miles. Activities on campus include tennis, sailing, horseback riding, hiking and trap shooting.

A Clubhouse/restaurant serves the Club's members and is a meeting place for meals and other activities and functions.

The Project: Clubhouse/Restaurant

Renovations, and additions to the existing aged Dining facility into a new Clubhouse Community Center which houses a Restaurant/Bar, Assembly, flexible sized meeting spaces for activities and functions.

The Building is the in the heart of the Rustic Camp Styled community, and needed to reflect the camp rustic style aesthetic.

We completely renovated and redesigned the structure to allow all the spaces to communicate, or be divided via rolling doors for multiple sized or simultaneous events. There are Dining areas, a Bar, and also flexible Assembly space, as well as a Kitchen, and updated ADA Baths.

Aesthetically we added log and twig to the interiors, and massive stone fireplaces of local gathered stone to create an Adirondack Lodge Rustic atmosphere.

For the exterior, we matched log siding and green roofs from the local structures, with twig detailing in order to give the building the feel of the surrounding community and to set the style and tone of the Rustic club.
